MyEasyFarm in the 4 pour 1000 program
The international initiative “ 4 pour 1000,” launched by France on December 1, 2015, during COP 21, aims to bring together all willing public and private sector stakeholders (governments, local authorities, businesses, professional organizations, NGOs, research institutions, etc.) under the Lima-Paris Action Plan.
The initiative aims to show that agriculture, and in particular agricultural soils, can play a crucial role for food security and climate change.
Based on solid scientific documentation, this initiative therefore invites all partners to publicise or implement concrete actions on carbon storage in soils and the type of practices to achieve this (agro-ecology, agroforestry, conservation agriculture, landscape management, etc.).
The ambition of the initiative is to encourage stakeholders to embark on a transition towards a productive, highly resilient agriculture based on adapted land and soil management, which creates jobs and income and thus brings about sustainable development.
MyEasyFarm joined the4 pour 1000 network in early 2020 to engage with other members exploring agriculture’s role in combating climate change.
